At Friendly Ridge, summer is a special time—a time for reconnecting with neighbors, participating in fun outdoor events, and making the most of the warm weather. We’re excited to share upcoming activities, helpful tips for staying cool and safe, and updates on community projects that will enhance your living experience.
As always, our goal is to keep Friendly Ridge a vibrant, welcoming, and supportive place for everyone. If you have suggestions or ideas for community events or improvements, we’d love to hear from you!
Here’s to a safe, sunny, and joyful summer at Friendly Ridge!
Warm regards,
Jeff and Tabithia Community Managers
We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with you! After a long and muchanticipated wait, repairs on the community spa will officially begin soon. We know how important this amenity is to many of you, and we appreciate your patience during the delay. We will continue to provide updates as progress is made—stay tuned for more details coming soon!
In addition to the spa repair, we’re also beginning new construction in several areas around the park to make way for the placement of beautiful new homes. This is an exciting step in the continued growth and improvement of our community.
As always, we encourage you to stay informed by checking the activities screen in the clubhouse for the latest updates and announcements. And don’t forget to pick up your monthly calendar from the library so you can stay on top of all community events and happenings.
Thank you for being a part of our vibrant and growing community!
We’re excited to extend a warm welcome to all of our new residents—it’s wonderful to have you join our community! Whether you’ve just moved in or have been settling in for a little while, we encourage you to get involved and connect with your neighbors. One of the best ways to do that is by participating in our upcoming events, which are a great opportunity to meet fellow residents, have fun, and feel more at home. We have a variety of activities planned in the coming months, and we’d love to see as many of you as possible attend. Detailed information and sign-up sheets for all events will be posted on the mailroom bulletin board, so be sure to stop by and check it out regularly. Let’s continue to build a strong, welcoming, and vibrant community together—we look forward to seeing you soon!
We would like to kindly remind everyone that the mailroom is not an appropriate place for donations of any kind. To ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper organization within our community spaces, we ask that all donated items be directed to the appropriate locations:
• Books may be placed in the designated basket located in the library for others to enjoy.
• Food donations should be brought directly to Unit #287, where they will be collected and distributed appropriately.
Let’s have a wonderful, fun, and safe Summer. I hope you enjoy all of the events and I can’t wait to see you there.

RIBS
• 2 racks of baby back ribs, roughly 2 lbs each
• 1 1/2 tablespoons coarse sea salt
• 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
• 1 tablespoon ground mustard
• 1 tablespoon garlic powder
• 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
• 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
• 2 teaspoons chipotle chili powder
• 3/4 cup ketchup
• 2/3 cup root beer
• 1/2 cup honey
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
• 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper DIRECTIONS
1) Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Place each rack of ribs on a doubled sheet of aluminum foil. In a bowl, whisk together the salt, paprika, mustard, garlic powder, pepper, onion powder and chipotle chili powder. Rub the mixture all over both sides of the ribs, then wrap the ribs up in the aluminum foil. Place the racks on a baking sheet and put them on the center rack in the oven. Bake for 2 1/2 hours.
3) After 2 1/2 hours, gently pour the juice in the foil packets into a large bowl or measuring cup. Whisk in 3 to 4 tablespoons of BBQ sauce.
4) Heat the grill to the highest setting and remove the ribs from the foil. Once the grill is hot, place the ribs on the grill and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, until they are charred and slightly crisp on the outsides, basting and rubbing the juices/BBQ sauce mixture on top. Let cool slightly before serving with lots of BBQ sauce.
ROOT BEER BBQ SAUCE
1) Place all ingredients in a saucepan and whisk together until combined. Heat oven medium heat and bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and cook for 30 to 60 minutes, until thickened. Stir occasionally. Remove from the heat and let sit at room temperature until it cools and thickens even more.
2) Store in a jar or sealed container in the fridge.
