"ASEAN CG Scorecard: Are Thai Listed Companies Ready to Meet the New Challenges?" At the ASEAN Finance Minister Meeting (AFMM) in 2007, the leaders of the member countries agreed to set up the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by 2015 in order to boost competitiveness, financial strength and investment throughout the region. To complement this, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) initiated a pilot operation plan for the development of a capital market called the ASEAN Capital Market Forum (ACMF). The plan aims to promote foreign investment in the ASEAN market by setting up program to assess corporate governance of listed companies in ASEAN. It is called the ASEAN CG Scorecard program.
จากการประชุม ASEAN Finance Minister Meeting (AFMM) เมื่อปี 2550 ผู้นำ�ชาติสมาชิกในกลุ่มอาเซียนต่างเห็น ชอบให้เร่งจัดตั้งประชาคมเศรษฐกิจอาเซียน (ASEAN Economic Community - AEC) ขึ้นภายในปี 2558 เพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถใน การแข่งขันและสร้างความแข็งแกร่งทางการเงิน ตลอดจนส่งเสริม ให้เกิดการลงทุนในภูมิภาคอาเซียน ก.ล.ต. จึงนำ�ร่องจัดทำ�แผน ปฏิบตั กิ ารด้านการพัฒนาการรวมตลาดทุนภายใต้ชอ่ื ASEAN Capital Market Forum (ACMF) โดยหนึ่งในกิจกรรมที่ ACMF จัดขึ้น เพื่อ ส่ ง เสริ ม ให้ นั ก ลงทุ น สถาบั น จากต่ า งประเทศมาลงทุ น ในตลาด อาเซียน ก็คือ การจัดให้มีโครงการประเมินการกำ�กับดูแลกิจการ ของบริษัทจดทะเบียนในภูมิภาคอาเซียน หรือเรียกว่า ASEAN CG Scorecard IOD จึงเห็นควรจัดการประชุม Directors Forum 1/2012 ขึน้ ในหัวข้อ “ASEAN CG Scorecard : “Are Thai Listed Companies Ready to Meet the New Challenges?” เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 17 กุมภาพันธ์ 2555 ที่ผ่านมา เพื่อให้บริษัทจดทะเบียนไทยทราบถึงแนว โน้มและสามารถเตรียมความพร้อม ซึ่งในการประชุมดังกล่าวได้รับ เกียรติจาก คุณหญิงชฎา วัฒนศิริธรรม ประธานกรรมการของ IOD เป็นผู้กล่าวเปิดการประชุม
