Design

Archive

The final project, Archive, is a spatial response to grief, designed as a place for healing and reflection. It guides visitors through the emotional journey of grief using the spatial concept of compression and expansion, symbolising emotional tension and release. The design encourages both personal contemplation and social connection, offering spaces for healing activities, quiet reflection, and gentle interaction. The project aims to create a nurturing environment that supports emotional wellbeing through thoughtful spatial experience. Software Used

Set Design

The project involved designing a flexible TV studio set for a morning show, game show, and night show. A gridded floor system and movable backdrop panels allowed quick transformations, while a bespoke modular chair offered adaptable seating. Neutral colours and interchangeable elements ensured the space remained cohesive yet versatile for each show type.

In collaboration with: Adam Madkour, Rahan Uddin, Sean Chapata.

Enchanting Compass

The project involved designing a pavilion inspired by The Wizard of Oz, serving as a shelter, meeting point, and café, while reflecting the story’s core themes. The building takes the form of a compass, symbolising the journey of feeling lost and finding direction. At ground level, a small café offers a social hub, while the upper level houses four activity rooms, each dedicated to one of the main characters, embodying their unique traits and growth. The design blends storytelling with functionality, creating a space for gathering, reflection, and interaction.

The project focused on developing digital skills through learning Revit for modelling and Lumion for creating fly-through videos, using the 4x4 House as the base design. The process involved experimenting with rendering techniques and enhancing visuals using Photoshop, exploring ways to effectively communicate architectural design through digital media.

Creation of a Magazine

The project involved designing a magazine relevant to Interior Architecture & Design, inspired by an industry publication.

Enki Magazine was chosen as a reference, with its layout, typography, and colour scheme carefully studied and applied to create a professional and visually engaging design.

The magazine featured a feature topic, design hero, and meet the maker section.

The project involved designing a lamp inspired by Toyo Ito, which was later sold for charity. While experimenting with geometric star shapes, the final design, La Stella, was developed. The lamp features cut-out patterns that create a striking glow and shadow play when lit, reflecting Ito’s interest in light, form, and delicate structural expression.

Lumière

The project involved designing a collection of four chairs inspired by a given design movement for a chosen hotel lobby. Working collaboratively, the team ensured that each chair maintained a cohesive aesthetic while showcasing individual creativity.

To ensure cohesion across all designs geometric pattern from The Great Gatsby movie was used as inspiration.
