For years traditional wheelchairs have followed the same old form. Even for short periods of time, older wheelchairs can be uncomfortable to sit in. This discomfort is usually caused by the lack of appropriate lumbar support. In many cases this can lead to chronic pain or even longer term health problems such as curvature of the spine. At TGA we think we have finally found the answer. The award winning Strongback chair provides an evolution in the technology that moves away from the old standard wheelchair design.

Its main feature is ergonomic lumbar support integrated into the frame of the wheelchair. This improves the seat angle and offers a curved supportive backrest. The seat angle aligns the pelvis for proper ergonomic posture and prevents slipping and slouching forwards. The seating surface moulds around the body so that circulation is improved and pressure reduced without the need for bulky and expensive posture support cushions.

Easy to fit Fitting the Powerpack couldn’t be simpler! Attaches and detaches from almost any wheelchair in seconds.

The Powerpack comes with a range of attachments that allows it to fit virtually any wheelchair. Call one of our trained mobility specialists for further advice.

Simply lift off the battery, undo the thumbscrew and slide to release. The Powerpack is then removed and you have a standard folding wheelchair.

Dismantles easily into manageable sized sections, no complex connections or fiddly fittings

What’s different about the 3 Zest Models?

All three Zest models have advanced suspension for a seamless ride and dismantle into a few easy-to-lift parts.

The range starts with the Zest, the most compact model, available with standard or long range battery pack, giving a range up to 10 or 16 miles per charge.

If you are looking for more space and stability when driving, the Zest Plus is longer, wider and has larger wheels with pneumatic tyres for extra comfort. You can travel further with a range of up to 20 miles per charge. Despite the bigger battery capacity, the battery pack cleverly splits in two, so it’s still quick and easy to dismantle and transport.

The Zest S is packed with all of the Zest Plus features but with a larger supportive captain seat and a sculpted tiller complete with USB charging point and fully adjustable positioning using a simple handlebar mounted lever.
