Procedure for Non-attendance
Parents make contact with the school to report non-attendance which normally occurs through sickness. Teachers record absences and the school makes contact with parents who do not report reasons for absence.
Non-attendance at the school is managed through Wellbeing Leader.
Each term we are required by law to submit a ‘Persistent Absenteeism Report’. Section 75 of the Education and Children’s Services Act 2019 states… that If a student/s fails to attend school, or participate in the approved learning program, for 10 or more days in a term shall be reported. (Students will be exempt from this if we have had formal notification with valid reason/s for exemption from school.
As of Term 2, 2022, 687 students attend from ELC – Year 6.
