Our Strategic Intent

To develop a culture in which leaders, teachers and students use effective feedback and ongoing evidence based practices to improve learning, engagement and wellbeing.

Excellence in learning

• develop and support a culture that demonstrates the Immanuel Learner Aspirations to ensure excellence in learning

• implement an Inclusion strategy to increase access and remove barriers to learning

• develop a culture of continuous learning and growth through the implementation, communication and regular review of evidence based assessment practices.

Improvement and innovation

• implement and strengthen the ‘Enhanced PYP’ with a focus on agency, transdisciplinary learning and collaboration

• develop shared values, beliefs and language to strengthen our Early Years pedagogy to meet the needs of all learners

• develop an intentional spiritual life plan to ensure connection with students, families, staff and the broader community.

Leading effective organisation and management

• maximise current and future opportunities through the best utilisation of the school’s human, financial, physical and technical resources

• review data and knowledge management methods and technologies to ensure that resources are efficiently managed to provide an effective, safe and caring, growthoriented learning environment

• ensure stewardship of facilities and resources with transparency, accountability and compliance.

The ‘MMG Wheel’ below reflects the average scores for Reception to Year 6 parents across key areas. Parents noted ‘very high’ scores for 9 of the 12 key areas and ‘high’ scores for the remaining areas. The overall score is a ‘very high’ (82%).

Reception to Year 6 - Expectations Met or Exceeded

The following charts detail the percentage of parents who noted their expectations had been met or exceeded across key areas, ranked in order of the importance they placed on these same areas when choosing the School for their children. For example, 88% of parents noted their expectations had been met or exceeded for ‘Quality of teaching’ – the noted most important area

Reception to Year 6 - Expectations Met/Exceeded for Top 5 Most Important Areas

• 88% of parents noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to the quality of teaching

• 90% of parents noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to the focus on student well-being, providing a safe and caring environment

• 95% of parents noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to the school providing a balanced education

• 98% of parents noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to facilities and resources

• 84% of parents noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to academic standards

Overall, we are very pleased with the results, however, there are areas that need further strengthening or review.

Key areas include:

• an ongoing pursuit for academic excellence through the explicit teaching of literacy and numeracy skills

• further development of our student wellbeing program

• a review of class sizes

• homework expectations

• the quality of coaching for some identified sports

• ensuring the parent community is more aware of our strategic intent

• updating our toilet facilities

• a review of our reporting timeline to ensure parents have sufficient information.

• a school that delivers good academic grades with good morals, values and a caring and friendly environment for our children to have a positive learning journey

• balanced education and cognisance of the importance of social and emotional development

• communication and sense of community. Also, well rounded respectful kids of all ages. I love the buddy program and seeing big kids engage in it. Such a wonderful manner with the younger kids

• caring teachers who know my child personally

• connection with some lovely families and the care my children receive from staff members

• development of a confident learner and values students who demonstrate good values/morals
