W RI T TEN OV E R V I E W Humankind over time has become a global geophysical force, intertwined with the most powerful forces of nature. A force so powerful we are leaving traces in the earth and affecting the environment. Scientists have suggested we are in the Anthropocene, an informal geologic chronological term for the proposed epoch that began when humanity had a significant global impact on the Earth’s ecosystems. As a race we have influenced an irreversible cascade of changes leading us into a future that’s profoundly different from anything we’ve faced before. We are becoming completely detached from our surroundings and ourselves, and can nolonger stand for the trampling of nature. We must investigate the past as to invent a new thought provoking design future. A future that is extraordinary and unpredicted: Beautiful and surprising. Thinking of our impact, we must become more mindful of waste to ensure we protect the worlds remaining wonders. Post-industrial waste will be reclaimed and recycled, turning the old into new beautifully captivating objects. Nature and the environment is key to the survival of the human race, nature itself evokes different emotions and moods influencing our everyday lives. People are becoming more aware and seeing for the first time that there is a solution. We must stop for a moment and observe the beauty that can be seen, quiet but epic.
