Problems addressed by the project: The project offers an integrated approach for the eligible border areas of Romania and Bulgaria in the field of cross-border cooperation and is addressed to a functional area, namely the development of the labor market. The project addresses common territorial problems as: the lack of reliable information about new job opportunities, working conditions and hiring possibilities, different social security, normative regulations and legislation in Cross-border area and uncertainties about Cross-border commuting, lack of joint Info events and advisory services promoting Cross-border mobility.
Project scope: The project covers 45 Romanian and 76 Bulgarian cities from the targeted cross-border region: - 7 counties in Romania: Mehedinti, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Calarasi, Constanta; - 8 districts in Bulgaria: Vidin, Vratsa, Montana, Pleven, Veliko Tarnono, Ruse, Silistra, Dobrich;
Project goals: The overall objective of the project is to connect jobseekers, local communities, the private sector and authorities to participate in the joint development of the Bulgarian-Romanian crossborder region, using their resources and advantages in a sustainable way, with a view of promoting cross-border mobility of workforce. The specific objective of the project is to promote the integration of the cross-border region in terms of employment and job mobility through joint employment initiatives.
