Tewkesbury & District u3a in Action
Our Open Morning was a great success with lots of prospective members attending to see what we do. Most of our varied groups had a stall and representative ready and willing to explain and encourage new members. The event had been preceded by many posters around Tewkesbury and surrounding villages, plus a leaflet distribution in the High Street a few days before the event.

Our stall at the Tewkesbury Christmas Lights event was manned by a willing team of volunteers taking shifts throughout the day. We had a colourful stall with bunting, display boards with photos of our activities and plenty of literature to advise and encourage the public to join.
Tewkesbury & District u3a is a members activity organisation for people no longer in full time employment. We have about 30 varied activity groups (eg art, scabble, computers, languages, photography, needlecraft, petanque, both family and ancient history, table tennis, walking and others) where members all assist in the organisation. We also have a monthly members meeting in the Baptist Church Main Hall, with a speaker (recent topics have included the spy in the bag, Cunard liners, Isle of Man, coloured gemstones, Severn Bridge disaster, plus some excellent singers). If you want to know more, why not contact us at info@ tewkesburyu3a.org.uk or 01684 325013, or view our new website at tewkesburyu3a.org.
