Why you should and how to actually relax your mind and body after studying or working

Finding AgenttimeThat’s For Holidays areAn the perfect to take anRight extended breakYou from stress or strain caused by hard work and extreme focus. Believe it or not, there are actually health risks that take effect when one does not properly relax. In this technological world, Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) has become a thing. By definition, it “describes a group of eye and vision-related problems that result from prolonged computer use.”

Fortunately, rest breaks are considered a treatment of CVS. “To prevent eyestrain, try to rest your eyes when using the computer for long periods. Rest your eyes for 15 minutes after 2 hours of continuous computer use. Also, for every 20 minutes of computer viewing, look into the distance for 20 seconds to allow your eyes a chance to refocus,” the AOA recommends.

Flexibility, improved relationships, spirituality and connectedness, and mental health are supported by yoga practice suggests Lynda Bassett, author of “Say Yes to Yoga,” published in the September 2014 issue of Natural Awakenings -Tampa Bay edition.

“As students continue their practice, they feel less stress and an increased sense of peace and relaxation, along with other mental health habits,” Bassett wrote.

Don’t let another day go uncelebrated We getRolder. joy of holidays seem to be reserved for small children who are innocently infatuated with ideas of Santa EAL The E STATE Claus, Easter COM Bunnies, PAN Y peaceful Pilgrim and Indian exchanges and the like. It’s not uncommon for the value of holidays to depreciate in the hearts of young adults who are trying to make their mark on the world.

Remembering to help those in less fortunate situations or joining forces with those in similar ones could bring about a long-term change for you in 2015 and onward (pg. 1). For holidays specifically, think outside the usual box (pg. 3) to bring back the excitement of gift giving, or at least use the time to relax and unplug (pg. 4) while also reflecting (pg. 2). Every day may not be a holiday. One day you could find out that someone you just saw a week ago has been shot and killed. You could be living with a family member who evicts you for no apparent reason and wind up in jail for another unapparent reason. And everyone knows that mug shots compliment no one. But on the other hand…you could start your own business. You could become an elementary-school mentor and allow the possibilities in young children to restore your hope in the future and your own capabilities.

New Year, New High

As a new year approaches, so does the usual vow to change something about yourself. Occasionally, resolutions are repetitive if you didn’t perform that well at them in the previous year. And the majority of the time they’re self-centered. Countless material advises the faint-at-heart “resolutionists” to break their efforts down into increments for best results; Or to use the buddy system for support. For 2015, why not take the latter, multiply it and see your selflessness returned?

Could unselfishness lead to helper’s high? Written by Terrika Mitchell

What does this mean? It means consider giving to and supporting others. If your personally-motivated resolutions have not proven successful, can trying the opposite hurt?

Scientifically speaking, all this altruism could lead to what researchers call the “helper’s high.” While receiving support undoubtedly lifts ones spirits, scientists- like those at The Institute for Research on Unlimited Love- are finding connections between givers and good health- and good health is something worth carrying over from one year to another. Start small if you have to. This idea may be a task for some but resolving to commit to at least a couple of major opportunities to give could be your solution. International Pay It Forward Day and National Make a Difference Day- held in April and October, respectively, of every year- are group-oriented opportunities to support communities, organizations and more. Gifting support on a daily basis doesn’t have to be a daunting task either. Forbes.com’s 10 Ways to Help Others That Will Lead You to Success lists recognizing them, sharing your resources, making them aware of an opportunity and even giving feedback as simple efforts to help others. In summary, striving for an improved you in the coming year could be more reasonable than creating a new you. And the best place to start just might be with others and in something you believe in, including yourself.
