It certifies airmen and airports that serve air carriers. It also reviews authorization issued by Air Traffic Organization to public operators, like Certificate of Authorization (COA) Waiver.

Airspace and air traffic management The safe and efficient use of navigable airspace is one of the prime duties of FAA.
