Hall Shows are Back!
The Hall shows are back, starting here at Pomona, so bring the family and enjoy the day here at the Fairplex and be sure to enjoy the sportsman’s shows at the Del Mar Fairgrounds next month and the Long Beach Convention Center in late March.
For the first time since 2020 the Hall Family shows return, starting with the Boat Show in Pomona, followed by the 44-year-old Hall Show for sportsman in San Diego and the Bart Hall Long Beach show, the 75th Hall family sportsman’s show held in Southern California.
“The Pomona show starts it off for us, and I can only say we are delighted with the response from the boating community
in supporting the Pomona show, which is the first SoCal boat show in year,” said Bart Hall, show producer and owner of all three Hall shows. “Three days of boating fun here in Pomona with hundreds of boats in three buildings, and then we head to the Del Mar Fairgrounds Feb. 16-19 for the first Hall Show in San Diego in four years. It is also the first Hall Show in California in three years and the first fishing, boating, hunting and outdoor recreation mega event in Southern California in 2023.”
Then the internationally famous Hall Family show at the Long Beach Convention Center returns. The Bart Hall Show March 29-April 2 will rekindle millions of family boating, and fishing memories.
“Join us as tens of thousands of fishing families gather to celebrate three quarters of a century of family fun at the Hall Shows at Pomona and Del Mar and Long Beach,” said Hall. “There’s nothing like a Hall show. It’s the sheer size and crowds that make them special.”
For the first time in decades, the 44th Del Mar show is first on the schedule for all sportsman’s shows in SoCal. That means high excitement. Big crowds. First dibs on tackle sales, bookings for travel, the debuts of rods and reels and lures. And Bart promises to pull out all the stops to bring sportsmen and their families to Del Mar.

“We are planning a media and advertising blitz,” said Hall. “We anticipate huge crowds for a variety of reasons. This is the best bargain around for sheer entertainment. We’ll have several retail tackle areas, we’ll have every make an model of boat and accessories, off-road rigs, custom boat trailers, RVs, jumping dogs, the Great American Duck Races, the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Shows, the Kids Fish Free Trout Pond, laser shot, Izorline’s Knot Tying Contest for all ages plus there’s free admission for kids under 16, and dozens of seminars on topics from peacock bass fishing in Brazil to bucketmouth fishing the lakes and bluefin.”
Vendors will be promoting fishing trips everywhere from the Eastern Sierra, Baja, Alaska, local bluefin runs, to flyfishing around the world. And there’s even African safaris being offered, and so much more. Seminars? There will be kayak fishing seminars, freshwater bass fishing seminars, tips on Sierra trout tactics, surf fishing seminars, the latest in bluefin tackle tactics.”
There’s way more in store for attendees, said Hall. Clothing, custom jewelry by Jon Pettey Goldsmith, hunting clubs. Baja hotels and lodges. Great food, and beer.
“It’s hard to define the show,” he said. “Sit down and learn to cook fish and game,” said Hall. “Talk to the leaders of the California Fish and Wildlife. Buy your annual license at the show. It will be good for 365 days from date of purchase for the first time. It’s crazy how the boating industry has jumped into these shows. See more boats in one place then anywhere else in Southern California.

And there is always a helping hand via
vendor discounts or free booth space to conservation and nonprofits. Among them: Friends of Rollo kids fishing program, the IGFA, the CCA, the Dan Hernandez Foundation for inner city fishing programs and several others that introduce kids to outdoor adventure.
There will be more on these and other groups. If there is one group Bart Hall is especially drawn to is the Coastal Conservation Association of California (CCA CAL).
