Temspotting With Steve Temwin

Hey Tem enthusiasts! Im Steve Temwin, and I’m a Temtem naturalist. I am here with my partner Ava, to share our adventure of observing Tems in their natural environments.

We are continuing our journey on the island of fire and nature types, Omninesia.

Sorry mate, no cookies for you!

Getting off the airship at Nanga, I was immediately greeted with the sight of Paharec in the distance. These Tems can be seen migrating back and forth between Deniz and Omninisia.

I even manage to spot the rarer Granpah while traveling across Superior Omninesia.

Along the Canopath, I meet a Hidody in a branch. These little guys are adept climbers, and can easily reach high places. Locals have a hard time keeping food safe from being stolen from them!

Me!

I get given permission to head down to the Ulterior level. Outside in the Anak caldera, I spot this family of Banapi and Capyre. These Tems spend their time grazing on coal. Don’t get too close, or they will send you back to town with burns!

Finally I head into the volcano. This can be dangerous, and is not for beginners.

Living on treetops means that the Paharo living here are super friendly with locals. You can get right up close to them and it wont spook them.

Star Spot

I spot two Magmis bathing in the lava lakes. It might be deadly to us, but to them, it's nothing more than a warm bath. This one swimming to the side was loving it!

What got you first into Temtem?

I first found out about Temtem during the Kickstarter days. At the time I was looking for an MMO I could get into but that also allowed for plenty of solo play. Temtem seemed like a good fit for me so I thought it was worth the gamble to pledge.

What is your favourite Tem and why?

Of course it's my mascot Bruce the Mastione! I knew that I wanted it to be my first luma in Early Access so I made my way to the Volcano as quickly as possible and refused to leave until it showed up. From the start of the game it took encounters.

Why do you enjoy hunting lumas?

You know I'm not sure I ever really worked that out lol. I wasn't a big shiny hunting in other monster catcher games. In Alpha the content was super limited but I knew I didn't want to stop playing so I tried to find some lumas that others hadn't yet to pass the time till the next patch. As time went on I learned to appreciate the perseverance that it required and the adrenaline rush when the search was finally over.

What is the best/worst part of luma hunting?

The best part-When that luma you've been looking for FOREVER finally shows up. The worst part-When RNG just doesn't like you to the point you start questioning if your account is busted. Best luma find?

Just one??? But there have been so many great ones! Can I say Kinu twice? I'll never match the rush I got when it showed up in Alpha but when I finally reclaimed it in EA that came pretty close. Both full odds in the Banyan. at / k and the other / k.

Any Tips for luma hunting?

) The longer the luma takes the find the more value it will have for you. ) Assume that every luma hunt is going to be marathon not a sprint when you start it. That way if it shows up quickly it'll be a nice bonus. ) Don't run from it when it shows up!

My goal is a one account living luma Tempedia challenge. So I want to get every evolution in it's luma form rather than one for each species. There's two main rules for this challenge.

) I'm not allowed to co-op with another account to get more luma chances unless the activity requires it. ) Any luma fertility I use towards trying to get a new entry has to have my OT.

Electric love

The happy couple

When it comes to love, people think of many things. Couples, romantic getaways and even bananas - the true fruits of love. But is there anything more romantic than the lovely pair that is b ?

The lonely digital orb known as b may seem to live a solitary life, yet once you evolve this tiny love bug you end up with a lovey dovey pair of code and sparks. Always happy and together, these tems - or more appropriately this tem, loves to play around with its buddy. You can often spot them floating and jumping together.

Thanks to its small size, b is a quick tem in battles. Often using sparks to aid it’s ally or bush to protect its friends. Teamwork is the spirit of this tem!

Found in the mountains of Cipanku you have to really keep your eyes open to spot these fast and small tems. When you do find them, please remember to always keep them together. And it might be best to keep them away from the reach of Tsukki in the Crema Offices in Neoedo; otherwise you might find your b’s suddenly missing…

B BUILDS

Just the two of us

Just as two bs work together and support each other, b is a Tem that loves supporting it’s ally. With fake beard and sparks, it can help any teammate squeeze out another move. With tesla prison and plasma beam b can keep its opponents from being too strong, and if all else fails, you can always hit the reset button to undo all of the hard work of a superbuffed opponent. The main thing b is known for is giving team wide evasion with bush. Time it right, and you can punish an overconfident opponent by wasting their entire turn!

But the status doesn't need to come from b. A welcomer Shaolant or a side spores Nidrasil can use b to apply their effect to themselves!

Best Neutral Type

If I sort them by affinity, my answer would be skunch since it carried me the whole story, since alpha . . If sorted by design I really love goty (and venmet have the best luma), and if I sort them by personal usage/efficiency, it's arachnyte.

I genuinely feel that venx is by far the best neutral tem, arcane wrap/parrier are incredibly good traits, on top of the ability to buff it's defenses, and do insane damage t with head ram at no cost of bp.

My favorite tem is momo because she had a really unique play pattern when I started playing of being a support and a nuker on alternating turns and I had to learn a lot about the game to actually make her shine, also she's a husky with heterochromia and I love dogs.
