Tempe Public Art is pleased to feature the work of Arizona-based artists in this publication. The Pre-Qualified Artist List was created by inviting artists to apply who are interested in commission opportunities to create meaningful site-specific artworks. This list connects artists with individuals and organizations alike who would like to incorporate artwork into their larger projects or to engage the public through art.
The Pre-Qualified Artist List is a valuable resource for private developers, property owners, and neighborhoods, who have artist opportunities for their projects in Tempe. In this list, Arizona-based professional artists and artist teams can be found who work in a variety of formats from permanent integrated artworks, to murals and sculptures, to experimental and temporary artworks.
The list helps residents, developers and others find the right artist to commission. Following best practices from public art programs nationwide, artists were selected through a committee review process with a selection panel composed of residents and professionals. The panelists chose the featured artists for their diverse approaches, professionalism, and innovative work. Each artist has provided an online portfolio and contact information for direct inquiries.
