Tell's Gate Control gets new software Tell, a producer of GSM modules from Debrecen in East Hungary, has released a new version of its GSM gate opener management software. This makes it possible to set up and manage all the company's GSM openers with a single application.

“W
e have a broad range of openers,” says Export Manager Melinda Didek. “There is a Base and a Pro opener, both of which come in 2G, 3G and 4G variants. Until now, you would need several programs to set up and manage those openers. Because this sometimes caused confusion, we have now created one software program that people can use to manage all openers.”
Base Tell's Gate Control Base is a GSM opener, which is connected to the control board of a gate drive. When a user calls the phone number of the SIM card in the opener, the opener recognises the user's phone number, and sends an opening signal to the drive's control board. There is a variant in which the telephone numbers of 20 users can be programmed and a variant for 1000 telephone numbers. The Gate Control Base can also inform administrators by SMS about the status of the gate,
for example. if the photocell is blocked, if the drive housing is forced open, or if the gate or barrier itself is blocked.

Pro The Gate Control Pro is a more comprehensive opener. On top of the functionalities of the Base, the Pro can also be opened with an app on the user's phone. In the same app, the user can also see whether the gate is open or closed. In addition, one Pro module can control two gates and the Pro modules also support ONVIF cameras, which means that users or administrators can see on their phone who is in front of the gate. The signal from a doorbell or intercom can also be transferred to the app on the administrator's phone. Finally, on a Pro module, administrators can set time schedules that allow different groups of users access on different days and times. A Wi-Fi version of the Pro module is also available. This one cannot be called, and can only be opened with the app.

Programming Until now, installers needed different software programs to install the gate openers. “That was just how it developed over time,” Didek explains. “But it wasn't exactly convenient. That is why we have now created a single program that can be used to install all the different modules. Simply choose the desired module, and you will see all the settings and options that belong to that module. It makes things much easier.” For gate owners, nothing has changed. They can log in to their module using the mobile app and manage the telephone numbers and any time schedules associated with that gate. <
