Context: Region
The Lake Victoria Competition aimed to create community centric drone-ports to assist in need towns and villages surrounding the lake with access to vital medicines and supplies. Being situated in the Kalangala island region, this proposal also offers boat centric designs for access, repair, and creation.

Inspiration
The form the droneport took was heavuly inspired by the natural forces of the Lake Victoria Region. The monolithis rock formations provide a recognizable facade as well as a funneling roof structure for water catchment. Curvature was introduced to pay homage and provide refuge to the storm paterns in the area.

The existing UGAMI research center on Sapelo island has an ever growing research program that needed to be expanded on. Facing many struggles as a barrier island due to climate changes, the design is adaptive to the many resultants of climate change such as sea level rise, strengthening hurricanes, and erosion as well as gives a large base for the growth of the native habitats of oysters.
