ABALONE DIVERS TAKE EXCURSION
CLil.SSES ELECT LEADERS
A group of abalone divers from Palomar College spent Sunday Jan. 27 fishing on the beaches of Mexico. They were down the coast about 40 miles past the border. ~"1anaging to get \rJet from head to toe, the group had a lot of fun hunting for abalone .on the rocks. An unlocked for highlight of the trip came when Pcul Lockridge; Jack McNeal, Dick Carpenter, Jim Galt and Rob Roy Batcher stood knee deep, pushing their cars ou~ of the gooey mud. The girls, Jo Ann Taylor, Ann Batcher, Dora Heine, Marguerite Clark, Sallie Lee George and Bettybea Roberts supervised. The party returned home tired, sunburned but happy late Sundayevening.
The sophomore class met last week h the library. The business was; the election of class officers. The election put, ~en ' StAller in the post of president, Ronnie Hin• richs, vice president,Tome Fiore, secretary-treasurer , and Keith Moon, representative at large~ Among other items of business was the possibility of placing a large "?' on the hill east of the campus~ Alan Hartman was appointed chaj_rman of the committee to investigate the matter.
