Hence, a critical evaluation of the earlier research about the Structural Optimization of Reinforced Concrete is conducted by the experts for reducing the number of construction materials, material cost, and environmental effects, with emphasis on a detailed design like steel reinforcement, to identify the research themes and highlight the future directions. Need for Implementng Clash Mitigated Rebar Design for Structure Based on the critical evaluation, the need has been identified for the implementation of clashmitigated rebar design optimization, detailed design optimization of intricate Rebar Concrete components, and the application of the design for manufacture & assembly. Challenges of Manual Rebar Design Process The steel reinforcement detail design of Rebar Concrete structures is one of the significant aspects of construction. Holistic BIM Methodology using Meta-heuristic Algorithms A holistic BIM-based approach uses the various meta-heuristic algorithms like SGA, SGA-SQP, & PSO-SQP for the optimum detailing & designing of RC slabs, for reducing the construction cost. The prime objective is to determine the reduced construction cost of the Rebar Concrete slab, along with the cost of steel reinforcement bars in reinforcing layers, cost of concrete, and labor cost for steel reinforcement bar installation and concrete pouring in the RC solid slab.
