The Super Regional at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field was a true nail-biter. Game 1 saw the Beavers stage a dramatic comeback, rallying from a 4-1 deficit in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game, and then securing a walk-off 5-4 victory in the 10th inning. However, Florida State, the No. 9 seed, responded strongly in Game 2, winning 3-1 and forcing a decisive Game 3.
Sunday's winner-take-all contest was an offensive showcase for Oregon State. The Beavers' bats exploded early, putting up seven runs in the first inning and another six in the third, ultimately leading to a 14-10 triumph. Five different Beavers hit home runs in the game, including a grand slam by Trent Caraway and a two-run shot by Gavin Turley. The team's power and timely hitting proved too much for the Seminoles, sending Oregon State to the pinnacle of college baseball
