* Millions of Dollars From the above statistics, it is clear that Oracle is losing its presence in CRM market day by day.

Better to say, except Salesforce, all big 4 CRM providers have lost their share in CRM market.

Remember, When we talk about Oracle's CRM market share, it includes all Oracle owned CRM applications like Siebel, PeopleSoft, Right Now. So, Does it imply that CRM market is shrinking gradually?

Well, let's see another statistics about CRM market.

As per Gartner's enterprise software forecast, worldwide CRM revenue will touch $36.5B by 2017, up from $13.9B in 2010.

So, it is clear that there is a strong demand of CRM software in the market.

Gartner CRM vendor guide, 2015 also says that "SaaS- or cloud-based deployments represent more than 40% of all CRM deployments, and they appear set to reach 50% during 2016."

Is that the reason why demand of Siebel CRM is going down day by day?

Well, This is one reason but not the only one. There are many other reasons as well like longer development life cycle, higher license and maintenance cost, lower flexibility than Cloud based CRM applications and many more.

But what we can conclude from the above statistics is that organizations are more inclined to could based CRM applications.

Is Oracle trying to improve Siebel customer base?

Did Oracle stop selling Siebel to new customers?

Many CRM experts told us that Oracle does not sell Siebel to new customers anymore.

Not only that, Gartner 2015 Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation states that "Oracle will no longer sell Siebel Sales to new customers".

Scary statement for all Siebel developers!

But, How far all these statements are true?

Well, Oracle has answered this.

Please let us quote the exact answer... “Siebel CRM is no longer sold to new, greenfield customers which is not completely accurate. Certain customer requirements may strongly indicate that an on premise solution is necessary, for many customers, in specific industries or geographies, or with specific functional requirements and specific data regulations. We assess customer requirements to determine suitability of Siebel, along with our Oracle CX

suite, to ensure we guide customers to the best fit for their needs: where applicable, this does include Siebel, including for new customers.”

Every year Oracle releases one innovation pack with exciting features like Incremental Repository Merge (IRM), Open UI and Siebel Web Tools.

“Oracle has a committed product roadmap for Siebel CRM through 2022 and beyond.”

Also with Siebel composer and workspace, Oracle is trying to reduce development time and dependency.

But did you know, Siebel can be installed on cloud premise also?

Yes..

Though it is not very popular but you can install Siebel on cloud premise like Amazon AWS. Already many Siebel CRM customers are taking advantage of private cloud hosting solution to reduce total cost of ownership. Oracle Managed Cloud Services provide a solution to manage Siebel CRM as a managed cloud service.

There are many software companies as well that offer Siebel on Cloud for new as well as existing customers.

However, we do not suggest you to go for Siebel neither resist from Siebel. It is complete your decision.

Actually it is difficult to predict future of Siebel, better to say any software application. It is even more difficult where competition is so huge like CRM. What we suggest you that diversify your CRM knowledge, not ONLY Siebel or any other particular CRM. Know how CRM works and it will be easier to learn any CRM application. It will give you more job opportunities that any particular CRM application.
