How to connect Salesforce to Tableau by using the built-in connector?

In order to gain the advantages of this software you have to understand how to set up both the software together.

One of the main things in integrating Salesforce with Tableau is to create a Salesforce account. This will allow you to connect your Salesforce data to Tableau.

Step 2. Connecting up the data source

After sign-in, go to the data source page Select data source and give it a unique name

Set up a standard or custom connection

For a standard connection, drag predefined queries, objects, and visualizations into the canvas

For a custom connection, choose tables manually and start analysis

From the Schema drop-down menu, choose necessary schema or use textbased search

Locate required table, select it, and drag it onto the canvas.

Click on the component tab in the upper right corner of your screen. Search for 'Tableau' in the search bar. Find the Tableau visualization option under the custommanaged option.

Log in to your profile.

You will see the necessary objects on your main screen.
