The Story of Brownlow
We will open an account for you when you have submitted a completed credit application and provided appropriate references. Once we have verified your credit worthiness, we then extend credit to you on our standard terms of Net 30 days. (Credit may take some time to verify. You may want to submit a check or credit card with your opening order to ensure prompt delivery.) We ask that you pay us promptly and within the terms of sale.

During the 1950’s my father, Leroy Brownlow, was a minister for a large church and often made hospital visits to members who were sick. While he always prayed with them and did a lot of listening, he also wanted to give them something to read after he left. So late at night he began writing essays and in 1959, self-published a gift book entitled “Flowers That Never Fade”. He gave it away for the first year or so, but soon stores wanted to stock the little inspirational book.

The book was very successful and he began to write more books, and convinced me to leave university teaching in 1974 to join him in the new business. We started in a converted gas station with the two of us and a secretary, and a dream of producing products that inspire people, make them smile and encourage them.

As the years went by, the small publishing company grew steadily, but during the late 1980’s our products started to look a little stale compared to our competitors. My wife Carol suggested we offer products with more trendy feminine designs and colors. I am so thankful we listened to her, and as a result, our publishing company made the transition to a gift company and our sales flourished again. My sons joined the business in the 1990’s, and we have been blessed with a top notch group of people for Product Development, Production, Sales, Shipping & Warehouse and Customer Service. A lot has changed over the years, but some things haven’t. We are still family owned, customer friendly and grateful for the privilege of serving you.

Back-Orders Pre-Paid Orders
Checks – Send check for exact amount of order plus freight. No post-dated checks. Please call for freight amount. Amex, Discover, Visa, MasterCard Credit Cards will be charged exact amount of order plus freight at time of shipping. Delayed billing is not available on credit card orders. COD – COD is available. Customer is responsible for all COD charges per shipped box plus any freight charges. Free freight may be available to qualifying orders. Orders are shipped FedEx Ground unless UPS is specified.
Past Due Accounts
New orders cannot be shipped to accounts with past due invoices. Accounts not paid within 30 days or within specified terms are subject to 1% per month, 18% per annual finance charge. All past due accounts are subject to reasonable collection fees. We assess a service charge of $25.00 for checks not honored by the customer’s bank.
Damage Claims
Customer should notify Brownlow of damaged items or discrepancies in the order within 30 days of receipt. Do not destroy cartons, particularly on displays, in the event that the damage claim is through the carrier.

Wassail Pot 40 Cup Capacity
What is Wassail? Wassail is a hot, spiced apple cider drink mix made with orange and lemon peel, nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar. Just add the powdered mix to one gallon of apple juice or cider and heat for a holiday treat! The name comes from Victorian England where people who could not afford their own wassail would offer to sing Christmas carols to neighbors in exchange for some of the delicious brew. “A-wassailing we shall go” became a popular name for this new activity and the name of the drink.
