The most popular and effective way to party is Faceto-Face! This allows the Hostess and her guests to experience products first-hand, which converts to higher sales, more bookings, increased recruiting, and an opportunity to build relationships that last! Face-toFace parties can be at her home or yours, a cafe, the park, the pool, soccer practice, or - well, anywhere! They are a great excuse to gather for some fun!
Catalog g
Catalog parties are a simple way for the Hostess to get what’s on her wish list by sharing the catalog with friends, family and co-workers. This party type works best with one existing group – like co-workers, Biblestudy friends or sports parents.
A Thirty-One Gifts party is more than an event – it is an experience. The party is at the heart of what we do – and your Hostesses have at least four ways to party and shop! Take time to get to know her and her party style. Discover what works for her!

Online parties are convenient and effective – your Hostess and her guests can shop in their pajamas! They’re a great option for Hostesses with family and friends who live too far away to make it to a Face-toFace party or when it’s just not possible to gather for an in-person party! Everything is done online! You can even go live on social media to demo products and get to know the guests! Stay active for a great party!

Retail orders are great too! Customers visit your website and place an order. You should always follow up with these customers and thank them to build a relationship with them. During that conversation, ask them to have a party!

You’ve made your list - now what?
Use it! Let the relationship you have with the person on the list help you know what you want to say and how to say it! Choose one name from your list - pick the one person who is most likely to want to help you get started!
When you contact that person, think about your relationship with them and about what they will love about Thirty-One. Then simply share why this reason made you think to call
them. The conversation will sound natural and will flow easily. Ask them to join you for an evening of fun and friendship by hosting a party.
Booking parties is easy and the more you practice booking, the more your business will succeed.
Now - how do you handle someone who is not your BFF (we know, you called her first - you had to right!?! - smart move!). When reaching out
to an acquaintance, consider how you know them and again how Thirty-One products will provide a solution - this is your ‘why’ for wanting to talk to them.
A few tips - remember your list is a living thing that will grow, shrink, and evolve along with your business. You’ll also be adding and removing names. Add notes so you know where you are with a contact too. It really helps.

We want to see your beautiful face! Here are some tips to creating a great profile & photo that is perfectly professional for your site!
• Your photo should be square, so ideally 400x400 pixels
• Photos should be a headshot cropped to your shoulders and above only and have your face centered in the frame
• Use a simple white background with plenty of light on your face
• Bigger is better when it comes to photo resolution! Be sure it’s least 300 dpi.
• Make sure your photo is usable! It should be a .jpg, .png, or .tiff file format.

Take a quick look at the entire report and note if someone clicked and opened multiple links (i.e. both hosting and business opportunity).
ORDER HISTORY
Before you contact a Customer, review their ‘Order History’ to have a point of reference for your talk. The easiest way to do this is the Thirty-One mobile app; find their name and click on the shopping cart icon.
CONNECT
Try starting with a point of connection such as where you met them, or simply ask how they’re enjoying the last product they purchased. Ask if they’ve seen your latest newsletter (you already know they saw it, but they don’t know that you know!).
HOT LEADS
Reach out to those who clicked multiple times. Consider these the hottest leads. There’s nothing better than reaching out to someone who’s never been a Hostess or has only ordered retail. Always look to expand your circle!
CALL, TEXT OR EMAIL
Don’t let not having their phone number deter you from reaching out! If you have an email, then use that as a way to reach out. Social media is a great way to get in touch! If they shared a phone number, call or text, depending on how well you know them – texts will likely get read. A good rule of thumb is to email first, knowing that if they don’t respond to my email you can then text or call them.
TRACK IT
Document who you’ve reached out to and how… along with their response. Circle back in a few days if you’ve not heard back. (Google docs, Word or a dollar store notebook work great for this - whatever works for you).
BE CONSISTENT
The fortune is in the follow-up! She’ll appreciate you contacting her to see how her products are working for her. Let her know how much you appreciate her and value her as a customer and as a friend. Build relationships!

Arrive early to greet guests, connect and learn about them, and build rapport. Consider name-tags for a personalized approach.
Mention the benefits of a party to guests at least three times during your presentation.
Celebrate your Hostess and highlight her rewards publicly.
Help guests create a wish list and invite them to host and get those products for free.

When you re-connect, take a genuine interest in her. Ask about family, career and life and really listen.
Thank them for purchasing and extend an invitation to host a party.
Be ready to offer dates & times that could work. Be flexible. If a home-party isn’t her style, try a different venue like a coffee shop or break room at work.

Social media can prove to be a great tool when used effectively. Here are a few pointers about the different social media channels available to benefit you and your Thirty-One business and how to use them to share. Strive to keep Customers, Hostesses and friends excited and engaged with what’s new and exciting with Thirty-One! The key to selling without being pushy on social media is engaging and socializing with Customers by sharing specials and updates and keeping your presence new and fresh! Be sure to show off how you use your products every day.
Think of social media as your Thirty-One storefront window. Everything you post provides your Customers with a little peek inside the store. Your goal – keep their interest, but not give it all away – by posting conversation starters and creating excitement. Start by posting photos of one of your favorite products in use, share items from the Thirty-One Gifts social media outlets or by simply taking a picture of how you’re using it! Keep posts relevant, fresh and intentional and strive to maintain a ratio of 1 business post to every 10 personal posts.
Here are a few ways to get started!
1. Keep business and personal pages separate. Create a VIP Group for your customers to join and post your love of 31 inside your business group. This also helps keep you out of Facebook jail - yes, it’s real!
2. Invite Customers to take pictures of products they’re using and tag you so you can share it! Add a comment like this: “Check out how my Hostess, Linda, is using her new Large Utility Tote! She got it FREE at her party! Want one?”

3. Post photos of how you are using products. Caption with something like, “I love my new Deluxe Utility Tote! We’ve got everything for a fall harvest picnic! - or - For the sports mom!”
