DAF STAFF GET HANDS ON AT SILVERSTONE

wo members of staff from team sponsor DAF trucks have had an unforgettable experience after spending the weekend as part of our crew at Silverstone.
Truck technicians Dan Johnson and Elliot Dinnage were invited along to work as part of the crew as an exclusive prize in recognition of their excellent performance during their apprenticeships. The pair were awarded the prize at DAF’s recent Technical Apprentice Graduation Celebration. Dan graduated in 2020 and Elliot in 2021, but have both have had to wait to celebrate in person as a result of the pandemic. Dan and Elliot also won the Commercial Motor Apprentice of the Year Award in their respective graduation years. As part of their prize, they were invited to join our crew during our recent race weekend at Silverstone for the British Endurance Championship and Britcar Trophy. They got stuck in with everything from general car maintenance to pit stop support, tyre changes and garage set up. Elliot said “This was hands down one of the best things I’ve ever done, I truly loved every second, what a great team they all are.” Dan agreed: “I had a fantastic weekend, definitely my new hobby and hope to see them again soon.”
