As- Built Models and Asset RegistryProject Description:
SIDRA hospital was a project with a GFA of 261.456 sqm and a great space program complexity. It is comprised of two buildings, the main hospital building offering services for women, children and young people and the Outpatient Clinic with diagnostic, treat ment and research sections that is also has supporting functions to the main operation of the main hospital.
The main contractor (CCC/ MIDMAC JV) undertook the final stage of the construc tion, external envelope and fit out along with the optimization of many MEP installations. The BIM department had to check all the already built facilities from the other con tractors through laser scanning to compare with the original IFC drawings and point out the construction amendments that the project required. The BIM team produced a final amended 3D model through com paring the laser scanning output with the approved IFC drawings, and proceeded to extract from it all As-Built drawings.
BIM Scope of Work:
• Development and implementation of BIM work flows and methodology.
• Development and management of 3D BIM solutions for architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
International BIM standards adoption and utilization.
Design coordination (clash analysis), re porting and utilization.
Parametric Design and optimization of complex structures (Curtain Walls, Cladding systems) for prefabrication methods.
Utilization of International codes and standards such as CSI.
• BIM Library Development, management and manipulation.
• Coordination of Project BIM Team activi ties
