Bruce Johnson is celebrating his 10 year anniversary with Teal Construction this month! We are very appreciative for his continuous service. Bruce has completed multiple project while working with Teal which consist of auto dealerships, banks, and industrial buildings. He recently successfully completed the Knapp Chevrolet dealership involving a new showroom, re-imaging of the facility, and paint & service shop renovation.

Bruce is currently working in preconstruction on the Kinsel Toyota project in Beaumont starting this month.

Thank you again Bruce for all of your hard work!

SI GROUP ADMINISTRATION | TOP-OFF PARTY

PM. Les Chipman S. DeWayne Bonin PC. Chantela Rowland Despite all of the rain Texas has been having, Teal has been moving quickly with the construction of the SI Group New Administration Building. Steel & tilt-wall panels have been erected and the roof is on, so why not have a Top-Off BBQ Lunch supporting our subcontractors, design team, and owner for all of the hard work they have done?

On Wednesday, June 10th, Glenn Jarrett, Project Director for Teal Construction, was the remarkable chef that cooked pulled pork, brisket, sausage, as well as threw together coleslaw and potato salad. We had a large turnout, the SI Group, employees and design team. After lunch our superintendent, DeWayne Bonin took guests on a tour to view the construction progress. All were very excited to see the layout of the interior as the metal studs have been installed showing a glimpse of the oor plan on both oors.

Our subcontractors have done a superb job overcoming weather obstacles to keep this project moving. We know as a general contractor that the main outcome of any project will be determined by the subcontractors that we choose and we are very lucky to have high-quality subcontractors on this project. The entire team thanks them for the hard work that they have done and look forward to the ribbon-cutting!

BMW MAINTENANCE BUILDING

PM. Glenn Jarrett S. Marcelino Perez PC. Connie Enmon NEW PROJECT STARTING! We are very excited to see the start of BMW Maintenance Facility at the Port of Galveston. The Design Build project started last month and site work is being done to get ready for the 35,000 SF vehicle processing and 10,000 SF car wash buildings.

The new facility is being designed by Veritas AEC & Dawson Van Orden. The site work has begun and the steel is being delivered. As the progress continues, we are slated to have the project completed at the end of this year.

PM. Jason DeVires S. Blue Vasquez PC. Morelva Gonzalez NEW PROJECT STARTING! Sames Honda is a Design + Build project being constructed in Laredo. The new facility will house a showroom, service center, and sales ofďŹ ces. Site work is in progress and the building pad is starting to be laid out. In the next couple of weeks site utilities, plumbing & electrical underground, access road, and retaining walls will be installed. This is another project that we are designing with Goree Architects, one of our continuous partners.

MEET OUR NEW SUMMER INTERN: KENNY LUEDECKE Kenny is currently enrolled at Texas A&M University studying Construction Science. He grew up in Katy and has worked in residential construction. Kenny, so far, has been a big help in the estimating room helping Kelly, DeWayne, and Jennifer. He is ready to learn and work, so please make sure to come by to introduce yourself and tell him a little bit about what you do and how he can help!

Teal was a sponsor for the Junior ior Achievement of Brazoria County Charity Golf Tournament last month at the Wilderness Golf Course in Lake Jackson. Alex, Mike, & Jennifer all played in the tournament with fun obstacles at some of the holes.

Mike & Alex sealed some birdies while Jennifer hit the ball once or twice on the green. Teal looks forward to continuing to build a relationship in Brazoria County.

Michael Losoya, Director of Special Projects, was a graduate of the ABC Leadership Forum this month. The five month program, 10 session course, teaches how to succeed as a future manager, CEO, or business leader. The program puts all members together, which facilitates conversation between industries, trades, and a variety of employment positions. This was the first year of the Leadership Forum for ABC Houston and they look forward to many more after the successful completion of the first graduating class.
