‘Spectral Sites’ is an artist booklet that digs
through the geological history of Abney Park, presents a way of speaking with
disjointed phantoms of ecological trajectories, and offers a mode of tracking
material alterations that layer and entangle to produce the form of the veteran
ecology.
The physical book opens the reader to three parts. Allowing the reader to read the story of Abney and the veteran tree in their own order. They can begin from the middle, as our intervention has. Or they can choose to interrorgate the geological past or material futures of the site first.
