LCCS Multicultural Carnival

By Kiko Law, Year 3 Program Mentor The Multicultural Carnival was successfully held from 9th to 10th June, 2022. More than 200 students from Yan Chai Hospital Law Chan Chor Si College participated in this event. With the theme of traveling abroad and cultural exchange, we collaborated with the English Society to design game booths to represent 5 different countries – Japan, Korea, Australia, England and France.

Apart from hands-on gamified activities, 12 students volunteered to perform on stage. The singing and dancing performances received a lot of applauses which also served as a recognition and rewarding experience for student performers!

Furthermore, students from different forms were able to interact with 10 native English speakers who are volunteers from UBS and Man Group. Both volunteers and students found the multicultural carnival meaningful and full of fun!

We are truly grateful to see so many smiley faces and hear students communicating in English on such an occasion with the presence of volunteers from different backgrounds! We look forward to having more opportunities like this!
