Teacher Appreciation Week
May 6-10, 2024
Help us to show our appreciation for all that our teachers do for our children. Thank you for all your encouragement to our staff throughout the past year and especially during this special week!
Monday - Our students are BLOOMING because of you! Pick some flowers and bring them to your teacher. Each unique flower represents each unique student in his or her class.
Tuesday - It is a TREAT to have you as a teacher! Bring a gift card (in whatever denomination) for your teacher. Your treat might be for a drink, a bite to eat, or for something else! Whatever you give will be appreciated!
Wednesday - Take a BREAK, FAST! Bring a breakfast or brunch item to join the other items for our teacher and volunteer appreciation luncheon. The brunch is on Wednesday, May 8, after chapel. You may bring your item to the school office and drop it off there. Please be sure to either bring your item in something that we can throw-away or be sure to write your name on your container.
Thursday - Throw back, Thursday! Give a WORD of encouragement to your child's current or past teacher(s) letting them know how much you appreciate everything they have done for your child.
Friday - RELAX! Our teachers deserve it! Bring your teacher something to help them rest and relax once they go home! Fuzzy slippers, a book, a special coffee mug, or a gift certificate for some extra pampering are some possible ideas that your teacher would appreciate.
REGISTRATION papers are available, and the School Board set GREAT financial incentives for those who did not qualify for the Oklahoma School Vouchers. We even went down in registration fees since we went up in tuition. Contact Principal Birnbaum for more details.
Cheer tryouts will be April 24-26! Any First Lutheran student going into 6th through 8th grade is welcome to attend. Try outs will consist of a cheer and dance that will be taught by a former cheerleader. Friday try outs will be closed, but after try outs we will have a Parent Meeting. They will need red shorts and a white plain t-shirt for try outs. If you have any questions please contact Cheer Coach Paige Winslow at Paige@poncaaplus.com Thank you!
Yearbook: Please send in photos of sporting events, class parties, and field trips!! yearbook@flcspc.com

Spelling and memory will continue like normal through the rest of the year. FOURTH GRADE – Mrs. Sibley: Midterms have came home today for the final quarter of the year. There is still time before the end of quarter to change what is not wanted before report cards are finalized. Make sure you sign the half-slip of paper and return in two days.
