B R E N DA A N D MIKE HARRISON

The Harrison is named in recognition of the transformational philanthropic support of Mr. and Mrs. Michael A. Harrison, Sr. In 1964, Mike Harrison received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University. He is a member of Phi Delta Theta, served on the TCU National Alumni Board and the Permian Basin Regional Council and was also elected and served as Reeves County Judge.

Brenda Kruse Harrison received a Bachelor of Science degree in speech, language and hearing sciences from Texas Tech University in 1975 and practiced speech pathology both in the PecosBarstow-Toyah Independent School District and the Midland Independent School District. Mrs. Harrison has been serving the community through the First Christian Church of Pecos, Juliette Fowler Communities, Samaritan Counseling Center, the Pecos Rotary Club and as co-founder of Midland Inspires, a women’s giving circle that supports community improvement in Midland County.

With a great passion for ranching and resource management, the Harrisons are the owners of Anderson Ranch and Dixie Cattle Company in the Pecos, Texas area.

Together, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison have supported numerous projects at TCU, including the Neeley School, TCU Athletics and the establishment of The Brenda and Mike Harrison Scholarship Program, which supports students from middle-income families. Mr. Harrison and his family also have a long tradition of supporting Brite Divinity School.

The Harrison family’s ties to TCU run deep and connect multiple generations. In addition to Mr. Harrison, four relatives are graduates, including his father, Dr. W. Oliver Harrison, who graduated with the first of his three degrees in 1932 and his brother, W.O. (Bill) Harrison, who graduated from TCU in 1967. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison have four children: Michael Harrison, Jr., TCU Class of 1991; Christina Pittman, TCU Class of 1994; Gray Harrison and Nicholas Harrison.
