Director of Operations
Office/Company:
The Robertelli Team — Max Broock, Bloomfield Hills
How long have you been working with the person who nominated you?
1.5 years
How long have you been working in the real estate industry?
6.5 years
What did you do before you began working in your current position?
My background is in hospitality technology, working for MICROS System through 2010. I was fortunate to be able to stay at home with my young daughters for five years before earning my real estate license in 2015 and joining Max Broock, Bloomfield Hills as an agent.
What does your typical workday look like?
I am an early riser, checking emails by 6:30 a.m. and following up on anything that came through late in the evening. My days are busy with many tasks to support The Robertelli Team and our clients. My responsibilities include taking contracts from signing to past close, confirming details of listings and supporting marketing efforts, as well as working closely with clients to support their selling or buying needs. The days are fluid depending on what the team is working on.
How would you describe your job in one word?
Collaboration
Why do you think you excel at your job?
Real estate transactions can be complicated with many moving parts. I am detail-oriented and highly organized — perhaps a little type A — which makes for a great team member. I also love talking to and working directly with clients.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Hearing and seeing clients’ excitement when they find the perfect house or when they sell their house and are moving into the next chapter of their lives. This brings such joy!
What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
In this fast-paced market, my biggest challenge is making sure our clients have a smooth and stress-free experience buying or selling their homes with us. Real estate transactions involve working closely with lenders, title companies, inspectors, city building/assessor departments, etc. I want our clients to have a seamless experience with us as we work hard behind the scenes.
What is one thing about you that others might find surprising or interesting?
I am a second-generation real estate agent, following in my mother’s footsteps at Max Broock.
When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my daughters, my husband and our friends. We are very fortunate that we are able to travel often — planning our next adventure together is always exciting!
How do you feel about being nominated as a Behind-the-Scenes All-Star?
I feel honored to be nominated by such a successful real estate professional and team leader.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself, about your job or about your relationship with the person who nominated you?
Alyse Robertelli and Candice Van Slembrouck are two professional, successful women whom I am lucky to call my teammates and also my friends.
Alyse Robertelli, Candice VanSlembrouck and Lauren Salome all agree that Deborah is an invaluable member of The Robertelli Team: She’s an organized and detail-oriented selfstarter who always puts clients’ needs first.
Alyse describes Deborah as an honest and hardworking individual who goes above and beyond to oversee transactions from contract to close. “Deborah has a great balance between her homelife and worklife and still gives us her all,” Alyse said. “She always comes to work with a smile on her face and is ready to jump into her workload.”
“Deborah has the patience of a saint and handles our client interactions with patience and understanding,” Alyse said. “It is evident that she treats people with the highest level of respect and that she will do anything to assist our clients or teammates.”
