MR ALI’S SPEECH
I feel incredibly privileged to be able to write a short message in your Yearbook. Although I have only recently joined the school, I feel in this short space of time, I have got to you know you well and hopefully you feel you have been supported in completing your GCSE exams. I have taken great pride in watching you develop academically as well as growing socially (and emotionally) through our values of Strive, Achieve and Believe. There is no doubt these skills will support you in the next stage of your journey, whatever this may be. I genuinely hope this is not a ‘goodbye’. Instead, you feel forever connected to our school and can stay in touch through our alumni network.
Best Wishes, MrAli

Class of 2022! What an amazing group of students you are!You have had lots to deal with on your journey through school, Covid had a massive impact on you all. However, you didn't let that phase you, you knuckled down worked hard and hopefully have managed to get yourselves some wonderful exam results. As a year group you have been amazing and I'm sorry to have not seen you the whole way through you journey. I want you all to remember that with hard work you can achieve anything, never ever give up on yourself and always be your best self! Try your best, do your best, be your best!!
What an amazing journey you have been on over the past five years atTCHA. I am extremely proud of you all. You are a very special year group, and I wish you every success and happiness moving forwards. My final message to you is “give more than is expected, love more than seems wise, serve more than seems necessary and help more than is asked”.
Year 11’s…... If there is one thing this year group has taught me it is that I was wise to invest in a good pair of shoes! I do not think I have ever run around so much: getting people in lessons, drying tears and sometimes escorting certain individuals! BUTI wouldn’t change it for the world!! I hope you have all learnt one thing from your time atThe Chalk HillsAcademy, it is to be kind! To be respectful, to be honest and always look out for those you love. You have been a truly memorable year 11 who have approached everything with resilience and enthusiasm and I really hope you all follow your dreams and have lots of success! Watching you all grow and mature has been magical! You have all worked so incredibly hard and no one can ever take that away from you! You all have the ability to do anything if you put your mind to it! ‘Believe you can and your half way there!Thank you for being some of the kindest, funniest and hardworking students I have worked with! Good luck…I wish you well, the world is your oyster!

Year 11, I just wanted to start by saying how immensely proud of you all I am. You were amongst my first classes when I started at Chalk HillsAcademy a couple of years ago and it has been an absolute joy seeing you all grow into wonderful young people who deserve so much in life I know you will all succeed. Take advantage of every opportunity you get and give it your all. Live life with no regrets and go and have the best experiences. I hope you all look back at school life and have fond memories of being at Chalk Hills. Remember these three words; Strive,Achieve, Believe. At times you made me so frustrated (looking at you 11Z/En3 and 11X/En4) but there were times you made me cry with laughter. Be kind to yourselves, be kind to each other and above all be happy. Stay inspired, stay motivated, stay excited about your future and realise your dreams. If you can dream it, you can do it! Don’t say ‘I can’t’say ‘I can’and strive to achieve. Plan and take one step at a time – you’ll get there. Be what you want to be and aim high! Stay in touch so you can come back and inspire other Chalk Hills students and show what’s possible.
MR TAPPIN MS SMITH
To the class of 2022, it’s been a pleasure to see you grow and become young adults. I joined when you guys were in year 8 and some of you were in my tutor group 8Renoir who were of course the best tutor group in the year. You guys have done so well throughout the years to cope with some very tough circumstances. Not every child has had to experience Covid in Secondary School but you guys have had to go through it for two years of your school life and the way you've conducted yourselves and dealt with the situation is commendable. I've really enjoyed seeing you shine in school shows, sports clubs and competitions, supporting with parents' evenings and a whole lot more. I also am glad I've shown you all how to dance at the prom, feel free to let me know if you need any tips. You're a terrific bunch of young people and I wish you all the best for the future.
I wish you all the success on your next steps. If you were part ofA.B.A.T, conflict resolution, chat in my office or a hello in the corridor you are all amazing and should be proud of yourselves, as I am proud of you all. Best of luck in all that you do.
MR COTTON
Dear 11Z/EN1 and additionalYear 11’s.
2 years together as a class but for some, it was 4 years. We shared lockdown, live learning, break times, lunch times, after school, anime clubs, and pizza’s together and I cannot express how much fun I have had with you all. Thank you for providing me with actual intellectual conversations and keeping it real in the face of an adverse amount of change. I hope you remember me when you are rich and famous. Stick out like a sore thumb.
