Development Executive, Trinity Development & Alumni Casual; Part-time Trinity Development & Alumni Trinity College, Dublin Research/Prospect Manager €13 per hour

Trinity Development & Alumni (TDA) is the primary fundraising agency for The University of Dublin, Trinity College Dublin. It is charged with responsibility for, and exists solely to support, the fundraising (development) and alumni engagement activities of the University. www.tcd.ie/development, www.tcd.ie/alumni. Role & Purpose To support TDA fundraising team in securing significant funding for the College’s priorities by identifying potential donors to support the fundraising objectives of the College. Key Responsibilities 1. Provide high-level research building comprehensive profiles on individuals, corporations and foundations using a wide variety of information sources. 2. Analyse information to inform prospect strategy and management. 3. Interpret and translate complex information and compose documents using content appropriate to specific audiences. 4. Ensure that all information is appropriately recorded in a timely manner in The Raiser’s Edge database. 5. Undertake other duties as may be assigned from time to time by line manager. Required Experience & Skills Qualifications - Third-level qualification or professionally trained with appropriate qualifications. Experience and Knowledge (Essential) - Excellent communication, writing and editing abilities. - Diligent and highly organised with close attention to detail. - Proficiency in locating and collating material from multiple sources. - Ability to interpret, analyse and summarize detailed biographical, business and financial data. - Well-developed sense of curiosity, ingenuity, perseverance and good judgment. - Developed understanding of ethical and confidentiality issues. - Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience in a research or research-related environment. - Understanding of, and passion for, the role and value of a university in society.
