Dance
Primary students enjoyed the first Performing Arts “Pop-Up” event of the academic year with Mrs. Ernest last Monday. Curiosity Cove was transformed into their very own disco, where students and enthusiastic staff had great fun strutting their best moves to an array of much-loved pop classics!
Music
Hot on the heels of dance, we are pleased to be hosting our first music “Pop-up” event of the academic year next Friday September 12th from 12pm –1.15pm in Curiosity Cove. This popular event is now in its fifth year, and we welcome any budding drummers, singers, guitarists, violinists and pianists to come along and celebrate their talent amongst friends. All instruments will be provided, and we look forward to hearing our young musicians here at TBS play in a relaxed, fun environment.
It is important to us to provide as many performance opportunities as possible to our students and with this in mind, if your child would like to play their instrument in one of the weekly year group assemblies, please do get in touch with your child's class music teacher to enable them to arrange this.
Instrumental Music Lessons
Next week we are delighted to welcome back our team of dedicated visiting music teachers who will continue to teach students they were with last term. Your visiting music teacher will be in touch with the parents of these students imminently to discuss the timetabling of lessons.
We aim to schedule as many new starter lessons as possible with these lessons commencing from Monday 15th September. Lessons operate between 8.30am until 5:00pm. Primary students are allocated fixed lesson times whilst middle and upper school student lessons are on a rotation basis to ensure the same lesson is not missed consecutively. Please be mindful that until the IB College is fully operational again, there will be limited availability for new instrumental lessons.
