Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22. It began in 1970, in the USA, as a response to rising environmental concerns. Earth Day was founded by Senator Gaylord Nelson to raise awareness about environmental issues and inspire action for the planet’s protection.
Earth Day is now observed by over 1 billion people in more than 190 countries
