Community Fund Guidance

Many thanks for your interest in the Tayside Contracts Community Fund (TCCF).

If you have an inspiring idea for how we can support a local project, please read this document and the associated process map carefully before applying to the fund.

Who can apply?

Tayside Contracts is proud to support its local communities to shape their future by providing goods and services to transform and improve lives for people.

Applications can be submitted to the Tayside Contracts Community Fund by constituted groups across Tayside such as registered charities and community groups.

The fund will also support financially independent and locally managed branches of national charities as well as small, grassroots charities and community organisations.

We give preference to new applications over applicants that make repeated submissions.

It is essential that activities supported by the Tayside Contracts Community Fund are aligned to the Community Plan priorities of the Council area they are based in. The applicant must therefore demonstrate they are meeting the criteria for that Council.

The Tayside Contracts Community Fund Panel reserves the right to exclude applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria and reject submissions and projects that are believed to be incomplete, incomprehensible, false or fraudulent.

How will I be informed about the outcome of my application?

Once the assessment process is complete, the named applicant will be contacted, and any additional information will be provided or requested at that time.

How often can I apply if I have something else that could be provided via the fund?

Only one application per organisation per calendar year can be submitted.

When we quote works we will also have to quote VAT @ 20% .

With charities, the situation is unfortunately more complicated and depends on the nature of work being requested. The following government website may help give a bit more detail on what qualifies for VAT relief.

If your organisation is able to claim VAT relief, the following government website may help you with guidance regarding claiming VAT relief.

If you are able to provide the written declaration that you are eligible for VAT relief then the costs of the works would be the value originally quoted to you (i.e. excluding VAT), unfortunately otherwise we would have to include VAT in the costing.
