The “Cachaca: Cocktail Bar” serves guests signature drinks of Florianopolis - cocktails being a Florianopolis specialty. The word, cachaca, originates from a popular sugar cane rum served with lime, sugar, and ice.

Grand Atrium
Wrapping the reception desk, the monumental stair draws guests to the lively entertainment and fine dining at level two. The stairs lead directly to a waiting area with separate hostess stands serving the “Sabor Floripa” and
“Parade Floripa” restaurants.
Restaurant
“Sabor Floripa” is an exclusive, fine dining experience that gives guests a taste of local cuisine and is widely popular for their seafood dishes. Visitors are also welcome to relax on the mezzanine with a view of the two-story atrium.
“Parade Floripa” is a theater, located on level two, where visitors are immersed in the Brazilian culture with performers and local parade dancers. A connecting bar and lounge offers more tastings of signature drinks popular to the Florianopolis region.

The corridor serves as a slow transition from the lively, downstairs entertainment to a more relaxing stay in the comfort of the suites. The light fixtures are dimmable, depending on the time of day, to adjust to guest’s circadian rhythm.

Zubi Workplace
The office proposal for Zubi Advertising aims to design an accessible workplace within a given building shell. The company has faced several shortcomings over the years, such as reflecting the company’s brand and values. The design will create a connection amongst employees, boost productivity, and promote well-being and autonomy. Employees will have the freedom to choose their preferred work environment through flexible partitions and modular furniture. A distinction between collaborative and private spaces reinforces a flexible workplace.

The local mall in my hometown of Oviedo, FL has struggled for most of its time since opening in 1998. The Oviedo Mall has faced major downfalls in the last decade, primarily due to low foot-traffic, quick business turnover, and competition from online shopping and other nearby plazas. The only remaining anchor store is Dillard’s with the former Macy’s closing in 2017.
The intent is to repurpose this vacant anchor store into a hotel specializing in medical tourism. Conveniently located just three minutes from the nearby Oviedo Emergency Room and Medical Center, this hotel will provide special accommodations for patients and families, addressing the current gap in lodging as the nearest hotel is 15 minutes away. The design will incorporate a central courtyard, maximizing natural light and fostering a connection to nature, which is proven to promote healing and well-being.
Hotel amenities include:
• Grab ‘n Go Shop
• Fitness Center
• Concierge Service
• Juice Bar
• Quick Clinic
• Spa and Therapy Pools
• Central Courtyard
• Library
• Worship Space
• Community Kitchen
• Complementary Breakfast
• Farm-to-Table Restaurant
The medical tourism hotel features a warm, welcoming lobby and a 24-hour concierge service to cater to guest needs during their stay, whether for pre- or post-treatment.
Juice Bar
The juice bar offers a variety of drinks with options catering to health, immunity, energy, and more. The space offers alternative gathering areas for family and friends to meet and chat over a home-cooked meal.
Tranquil Transitions
Guests are drawn to the atrium by a flowing river and acrylic walkway. The glass atrium brings optimal access to daylight for the first floor amenities and second floor suites.
An atrium cut in the center of the building offers more exposure to natural daylight as well as a space for guests to engage with a controlled outdoor environment serving as a positive distraction.
Family Suite
This suite offers a more comfortable stay with a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. All suites are ADA accessible with 16 that are adaptable for neccessary hospital equipment.
