Second round of public consultations take place
Autumn festival preparations underway WANTAGE Autumn Festival is returning for 2013 on October 20, featuring a variety of entertainment throughout the afternoon at King Alfred’s East Site, Springfield Road.
Live music from local bands including Melobo and dancing from the Rosehips belly dancers are the highlights of the show, as well as a cookery demonstration from top chef Celia

RESIDENTS of Wantage and Grove have had the chance to check out revised plans for a major housing scheme in the area. Developer Land Improvement Holdings (LIH) held meetings a the Old Mill Hall in Grove last Thursday, and Wantage Civic Hall last night. The consultations relate to the planned construction of 1,500 homes on the Crab Hill site in the north east of Wantage. Concerns were previously raised at the fi rst round of public consultations in April about the size of the development, the loss of agricultural land and that there are not sufficient jobs in ther the a area.
