Deputy PM serves up a treat in Oxford

PLANS to develop a site with 500 homes, a business park and hotel in north Oxford have been submitted to the Government for inspection. Oxford City Council handed its Northern Gateway Area Action Plan (AAP) to the Secretary of State for inspection on October 24. Planning inspector Christine Newmarch is assessing the plan, which sets out a framework for development on land either side of the A44 and next to Peartree interchange. The city council wants to develop 44 hectares of land at the site which has been coined the Northern Gateway for employment and housing.
