TWO police officers who saved a man trying to kill himself in front of friends and family were among West Oxfordshire’s finest honoured for their actions. PCs Darren Hall and Charlotte Slaney were among five officers recognised during a commendation ceremony at Witney Police Station on Friday. Their quick-thinking action saved the man after he tried to hang himself at his Bampton home in December 2014. The pair started CPR on the unconscious man before paramedics arrived, forcing his mouth open with a wooden spoon to help revive him. PC Hall said: “The call came
