DIDCOT POWER STATION DISASTER: A year ago tragedy struck killing four men - their families still have no answers
‘The gap in our skyline pulls at the heartstrings’ George Welch: Reporter TWELVE months on from the disaster which cost the lives of four men when one of a town’s most iconic landmarks collapsed, the community has vowed to never forget.

But the bodies of Ken Cresswell, 57, and John Shaw, 61, both from Rotherham, and Christopher Huxtable, 34, from Swansea, remained in the rubble. It took 201 days from the day of the collapse to fi nd and recover the bodies of all three men.

Didcot Mayor Steve Connel said: “Although the tragedy at Didcot Power Station was 12 months ago it is still something which always pulls on the heartstrings of Didcot whenever we look at the new gap in our skyline.
