It happened on August 6 last year at a house in Robins Hill, Inkpen, when Buckland stabbed the victim once in the neck and three times in the back. There were also injuries caused to her hands, which continue to require treatment. Police were called and the woman was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, while Buckland was arrested and then charged with attempted murder the following day.
