HOMES PLAN UNPOPULAR Tributes pour in after sentencing THE family of a 23-yearold man who was crushed by a two tonne limestone block in Moulsford four years ago say there has been a void in their lives since his death. Stonemason’s mate David Evans, 23, died on February 9, 2010, after the incident at The Well Barn Estate in Moulsford, near Wallingford. On Tuesday, stonemasonry company Cavendish Masonry Limited was ordered to pay £237,117.69 by Oxford Crown Court after being found guilty of corporate manslaughter. His family spoke after the sentencing and said
how a son and brother was “cruelly taken” from m them. They said: “Since that day, over four years ago, there has been a void in our ur lives. “We miss his smile, his infectious laugh and his profoundly dly honest nature. “Not a single day passes without us m thinking of him g and wondering what his life and our lives would have been like.” • Continues on page 3
