SCHOOL WORKER ‘GROOMED GIRLS’ Chalkfest fun rubs off on Thatcham girl THATCHAM youngster Amelie Huxtable was among dozens of people who took part in Chalkfest in Newbury town centre on Sunday. Visitors to Market Place were asked to create a drawing out of chalk on the ground, with a prize for the winner. Amelie went with a Doctor Who theme for her pictures, as she drew a Tardis and a Dalek with some help from her mum and dad.
A SCHOOL worker from Thatcham who had sex with an underage girl and sexually assaulted another has been jailed for six years. Craig Grineau, 25, who worked as a learning facilitator at Prior’s Court autism school near Hermitage, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday. In April last year Grineau had sex with a 13-year-old girl, and while on bail sexually assaulted another, aged 15, in July by touching her and emotionally blackmailing her. Neither of the girls were pupils at Prior’s Court, but were both considered to be vulnerable by Judge Stephen John, sentencing. The court heard that during the Easter holidays last year, Grineau invited the 13-year-old – who he knew to have a history of self-harming - to his house. While she was there, Grineau gave her a tour of the house including the bedroom, where he undressed her and had unprotected sex with her, saying that what he was doing would help her.
