Owners bid to revamp business park at Grove PLANS have been submitted to Vale of White Horse District Council to redevelop Grove Technology Park. Owners of the park, Grove Business Park Limited, want to demolish seven buildings to make way for eight new ones and a 75-space car park. Most of the proposed buildings would be business offices to help expand the business park. In addition, a children’s nursery and a café area are proposed to complement an existing gym. The existing uses are predominantly office, light industrial and storage/distribution uses but also include a police station and a gym. Meanwhile, the Vale council continues to wait for a breakthrough regarding the proposed 2,500-home development on the old Grove Airfield. In March 2015, the planning committee voted to approve an outline planning application for the homes on land
east of Grove Business Park, including a secondary school, primary schools, a local centre and a community park. But planning permission has not yet been granted due to delays in fi nalising a Section 106 agreement because one of the landowners of the 141-hectare site the size of about 195 football pitches - is refusing to sign. Vale council leader Matthew Barber said: “There are still discussions going on between the developers and the VË Í ÖjÄË Ë¬?~jËÏ
