A DRINK-DRIVER who left a Wallingford cyclist for dead in a hit-and-run incident and then reported her car stolen has pleaded guilty to charges at Oxford Crown Court. Maria Sutton, of Newlands Way, Cholsey, knocked over 55-year-old research scientist

and attention and perverting the cause of justice on December 23 last year. She was remanded in custody at court on Tuesday last week and is due to be sentenced on May 19. Dr Ruecroft, of Nelson Close, died from his injuries five days after the crash at Oxford’s John
