Tory Witney town councillor Dean Temple (pictured) declined to comment on the accusation thrown by Labour that he tried to join as a party supporter so he can vote in the upcoming Labour leadership election. Chairman of the Witney Constituency Labour Party, Chris Johnson, said they discovered Cllr Temple’s name, address and date of birth among a list of newly-listed registered Labour supporters.
