TOWN councillors at Abingdon have agreed to review their policy on flying flags at the town’s County Hall in the wake of a row over Oxford Pride’s rainbow standard. Their decision, however, is not a reversal of last month’s controversial decision not to fly the rainbow flag during next year’s Oxford Pride festival. It prompted widespread criticism from campaigners and others and Oxford West and Abingdon MP Nicola Blackwood to write to Abingdon Town Council leader Mike Badcock urging councillors to reconsider the issue. The town council has agreed to set up a working group to review policy areas including putting up banners and flying flags in the town. Mr Badcock: “I have called
