1 Use Waterproof Bandage

Clean the tattooed area thoroughly with soap and water, and dry it completely.

Cut a piece of sterile, clear plastic wrap or a waterproof bandage to fit over the tattooed area. Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or a tattoo ointment over the tattooed area.

Place the plastic wrap or bandage over the tattooed area, making sure that it is smooth and wrinkle-free. Secure the plastic wrap or bandage in place with medical tape or a bandage wrap. Leave the plastic wrap or bandage in place for at least 24 hours, or as directed by your tattoo artist. When removing the plastic wrap or bandage, be gentle and take care not to pull or tear the skin.

2 Plastic Wrapper On Tattoo

Clean and dry the tattooed area thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or lotion to the tattooed area. This will help to keep the tattoo moisturized and prevent the plastic wrap from sticking to the skin. Cut a piece of plastic wrap to the size of the tattooed area. Gently press the plastic wrap onto the tattooed area, making sure that it covers the entire tattoo and that there are no air bubbles trapped underneath. Secure the plastic wrap in place with medical tape or a bandage. Leave the plastic wrap on for at least 4-6 hours, or overnight if possible. Remove the plastic wrap and clean the tattooed area with soap and water.
