From the Desk of Editor Hi Friend, Very few of us know that 10th November is celebrated as ‘World Science day’ for Peace and Development. The UN theme for this year was “Open Science, leaving no one behind”.

As per the UN, the objectives of World Science day are, to strengthen public awareness on the role of science for peaceful and sustainable societies, Promote national and international solidarity for shared science between countries, Renew national and international commitment for the use of science for the benefit of societies and draw attention to the challenges faced by science and raising support for the scientific endeavor.

Can science & technology be a game changer for tomorrow’s world? Yes indeed and continued work in Science has paved the way for our present, should give the society a sustainable future and keeping the people aware of the developments science is making for them makes it more relevant and useful.

Ravindra is from very small village called Nibhona (Phulabri taluka) of Aurangabad district. He belongs to a middle class family who survive on farming. His father is a farmer and mother is homemaker. He has 2 younger brothers who are studying. Ravindra has completed Bachelor of Arts. His family income was insufficient to complete their daily needs, and being the eldest son the next responsibility to support family financially rested upon Ravindra’s shoulders. He started looking for a job and a got a job of computer lab assistant in a college. Due to irregular salary and no job security he had to leave that job. His hunt for the new job began again. This hunt brought him to Pune wherein he visited Tata Motors Gate in search of an employment. He got to

know about Tata STRIVE from our mobilizer during Tata Motors Gate activity. He immediately joined Auto Sales Consultant Course which was starting on the very next day.

Ravindra was nervous and quiet during initial days of course. But as he went through Domain and YDM session he became confident. He participated in different activities, performed roleplays confidently and got himself ready for the job.

He completed his OJT at Bafna Motors (Phugewadi) and now working at the same showroom as a Customer Advisor.

Ravindra shows his gratitude towards Tata STRIVE and is always thankful for giving him opportunity to rebuild his career.
